Pymble Turramurra Kindergarten is a non-profit organisation run by a volunteer Board of Management elected from members and licensed to operate under Clause 32(1) of the Children (Care & Protection) Act 1987.

Membership of the Kindergarten for a parent is obligatory during the period a child is attending the Kindergarten. The annual membership fee is $3.00, payable with confirmation of enrolment.

The Committee Of Management is elected by members at the Annual General Meeting held in February/March each year. The charter for the board of management can be read in full here. The Kindergarten is incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1984. This Act makes the Committee responsible for all aspects of the control and management of the Kindergarten. Under the rules of the kindergarten, the Committee consists of 10 office-bearers – President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Enrolment Secretary, Chairman of the Works Committee, Chairman of the Social Committee, Fees Officer, Grants Officer, and Member of the Board. The primary functions of the Committee include: setting the strategic direction of the Kindergarten; determining the policies and practices which govern its management and operation; approving the annual budget; and regularly reviewing the Kindergarten’s progress and performance.

The Rules of the Kindergarten are available to members on request to the Secretary.

Tax Deductible gifts:

The Kindy is able to accept tax deductible gifts for it’s building fund. Where a donation over $2 is made a receipt will be issued. These gifts will be used to improve the facilities at the Kindy.
