Participation: A Management Committee is elected by the parents each year to manage the affairs of the Kindergarten.
Parents are strongly encouraged to take an interest in and be actively involved in the Kindergarten’s existence, as it keeps the children’s equipment up to date and ensures the overall progression and maintenance of the Kindergarten itself. The Kindergarten is a non profit organisation and by accepting the advantages of a happy and creative Pre-school such as Handley Ave, parents are also accepting responsibilities of maintaining the Kindergarten and it’s service to the community.

Maintenance Working Bee: Each family is charged an annual maintenance levy of $70. This is in lieu of the termly working bees that have operated in previous years. Each family will be expected to participate in one large working bee per year that involves their child’s entire group. This will be a fun family day that will conclude with a sausage sizzle.

Fund Raising and Social Functions: these are arranged throughout the year by the Committee of Management and Social Committee to maintain and improve the Kindergarten’s facilities. Members’ support of these functions and their help in the maintenance of the grounds and equipment ensure that the Committee of Management can continue to provide the best possible facilities consistent with the minimum level of fees.

Communications: please remember to check communication regularly through communication books, communication pockets, newsletters, & notice boards. All of these means keep parents informed of current happenings at the pre-school.
